During the years of living on Ynys Enlli (Bardsey), a small island off the tip of the Llŷn Peninsula in Wales where they ran the farm and managed the land for conservation, during the long isolated winter months, Jo started to weave with willow harvested from the traditional withy beds (and with wool from the flock of Welsh mountain sheep).
She moved back to the mainland in 2018, and now lives near the tip of the Llŷn Peninsula. Weaving is still an important part of the rhythm of her life. As an ecologist, another important strand is the restoration of natural habitats, especially wildflower meadows
