To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience at Oriel Davies Gallery we ask all our visitors please respect our rules.

We ask that you treat our staff with respect. Abusive, Racist, Homophobic, Mysgonistic or other offensive Language and/or behaviour will not be tolerated.

We operate a secure, closed-circuit television system throughout the Gallery in the public interest for the protection and safety of our visitors, staff, exhibitions, and property.

Articles such as paints, banners, balloons and/or placards are not permitted in the Gallery as they pose a risk to the collection.

Knives, sharp objects or other potentially dangerous, hazardous, or harmful items may not be brought into the Gallery.

Backpacks and large bags can be left at the desk.

There is a bicycle point outside the gallery, children’s bicycles and scooters pushchairs may be left at entrance areas or in a designated room, please ask at the desk.

The only animals allowed in Galleries are guide dogs and assistance animals. Dogs are allowed in the café and shop areas.

Photographing is allowed in the galleries for personal use only unless specifically noted by a ‘No Photography’ Sign.

Food and drink must not be consumed in the picture galleries and only in our designated catering areas.

Please respect staff and other members of the public during your visit.

We do not allow the following:

Touching the paintings or other exhibits and crossing any barriers.

Taking photographs, videotaping, or recording for commercial use unless by prior approval in writing.

Smoking (includes vaping) in any part of the building.

Unauthorised events, demonstrations or speeches, or the usage of any flag, banner, or sign for commercial purposes, or to incite a crowd.

The wearing of motorbike helmets.

Any unsafe act or other act that may impede the operation of the Gallery.

We reserve the right to deny admission, or to require a person already admitted, to leave the Gallery if the circumstances require us to do so.

We may from time to time, without prior notice close the Gallery or any part of it temporarily, or restrict the number of persons having access if the circumstances require us to do so.

Gallery regulations are subject to change without notice.
