Cecily Mackworth (1911-2006) was a journalist, poet, author and traveller from Wales who spent most of her adult life in Wales. This edition of her 1952 novel, set both in Wales and Paris, appeard seventy years after it was first published and includes an Introduction by the historian and biographer Angela V. John.
