Amber Mottram’s practice presents painting as a sculptural object in which she investigates material, form and colour as both an aesthetic and sensory experience.
This exploration is carried out through a series of alchemic experiments using thermoplastic screed (road paint). The paint is manipulated to become a sculptural substance, which appears simultaneously living and redundant.
