An evening of learning and singing traditional carols from Montgomeryshire.
Plygain carols are old folk carols, sung in Cymraeg in acapella harmony around Christmas and the new year, and is a tradition that has persisted particularly strongly in the historic country of Montgomeryshire (modern day North Powys).
Renowned folk singer Gwilym Bowen Rhys will guide us through the history and tradition of Plygain, as well as explaining the poetic lyrics, and teaching us the songs so we can sing them together.
