The walk will begin and end at the gallery, taking a route through Newtown town centre.

We’re delighted to present this collection of new writing in response to photographs from the National Collections as part of CELF, the national contemporary art gallery for Wales. Under the sympathetic and gentle guidance of writer Emma Beynon, these writers have explored a rich and varied range of subjects in response to photographs that are part of the collection at the National Library in Aberystwyth.

- Steffan Jones-Hughes

The Oriel Davies Gallery Writers are a group of locals who came together four years ago to shape their ideas into poetry and enjoy the company of others. Each poem provides an imaginative insight into the photograph: new stories inspired by everyday life drawn from close observation, memories and the imagination.
