Our gallery team are ready to offer you a warm welcome and help you have a great visit with us here at Oriel Davies Gallery.

You can find assistance and information at the reception desk located next to entrance.

Accessible Parking

Free Parking for Blue Badge holders is available directly outside the gallery, (10 metres)there are 3 bays, (for three hours), accessed through bus station entrance, with the gallery on your left and Severn Park cafe of your right, then along the small road around the side of the gallery.

Access Road

There is space beside the parking bays for drop off only.

There is a further 25 Blue badge holders parking in the main car park just across from the gallery.

The Back Lane Car park is opposite the gallery.

Electric Charging points are available in Back Lane Car Park.

Wheelchair accessible taxis

For wheelchair accessible taxis, please ring Dial-a-Ride on 01686 622566 who normally require 24 hours notice.


Main Entrances

The gallery is located on the park, just off Back Lane and opposite Back Lane Car park.

There are two entrances. Both entrances have wide electronically activated doors.

The Back Lane entrance is next to the bus station and opposite the Car Park. Access to this entrance is via a side ramp on the right side of the gallery or a flight of 13 steps.

The Park Side entrance has level access from the assigned blue badge parking next to the gallery 10 metres from the entrance.

Assistance Animals

Guide dogs, hearing and registered assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of the gallery. Other dogs are welcome in the cafe and shop areas.

Guiding Service

If you require a guide to assist you around the gallery please book in advance. Unfortunately we cannot assistance for visitors without prior booking. Please contact us if you would like to book this service by email desk@orieldavies.org or call 01686 625041.

Wheelchairs and Mobility Scooters

The gallery have clear access pathways of 1.2 metres wide suitable for wheelchairs and mobility Scooters.

The gallery does not have wheelchairs available.

Ear Defenders

Adult and child ear defenders are available to borrow. Please ask at the reception desk.

Reception Desk

The reception desk is located close to both entrances to the gallery. The desk has multiple heights with low easy access for wheelchairs.

Cafe

The cafe is located next to the back lane bus station entrance. and has level access with the gallery.

There is room for wheelchairs and accessibility scooters to manoeuver. The furniture is not fixed.

Shop

The shop is located next to the reception desk and has level access. There is room for wheelchairs and accessibility scooters to manoeuver.

Shop items are displayed on many levels and some may be out of reach, so our friendly gallery team will be ready to help.


Induction loops

To access the induction loops please turn your hearing aid the the 'T' position. Induction loops are available in the following areas

Lighting

All public areas within the gallery are well lit with both natural and indoor led lighting.

Seating

There are benches and seating within the galleries including portable seating (chairs, portable stools and bean bags). Please ask a member of our gallery team if you need assistance.

There is seating within the cafe area including a sofa and further seating outside the gallery, under awnings.

Event Spaces

Activities and workshops take place within the galleries, outside and in the Davies room, all located on one level.

Fire Exits

There are several exit routes out of the building and for use in the event of an emergency. All exits are clearly marked with an illuminated green 'running man' sign.

In the case of an emergency staff will assist all visitors to leave the building safely.
