Everyone is welcome, and everyone is encouraged to get involved. We’ll be covering all things apple, with pressings going on throughout the day (taste the freshly squeezed juice), and experts on hand to answer any questions you might have. There’ll be chances to buy your own apple tree, or to learn about the community orchards we have growing in Newtown.

As usual at our events you can expect Creative Stuff Newtown and Clwb DJ Club to be providing the soundtrack to the day, and we hope to see lots of dancing to keep them going. There will be sourdough pizza by Andy’s Bread, and hot and cold refreshments available courtesy of Stwff & Things.

Later in the evening we will be providing a taste of Syrian food, cooked by Seba & Rahma, which will be provided free of charge (whilst it lasts!).

As day turns to dusk we will be asking you to lead a lantern procession through the green spaces, and to join us in celebration as we light a bonfire, to mark the end of the day and the end of the harvest.Autumn Share is organised as part of Open Events, a project led by Open Newtown, in partnership with Oriel Davies Gallery. We're pleased to also be working with The One Planet Generation and Creative Stuff Newtown for this event.

Open Events aims to unite communities and provide an opportunity to celebrate Newtown’s green and blue assets working in partnership and with communities to develop a range of cultural events in Newtown’s green spaces, as well as supporting independent events.
