Ecoprinting - an Introduction with Jane Hunter
Summer Botanicals Workshop 10am-4pm Saturday July 13th
Eco-printing is an exciting technique of printing paper and fabric with the natural dyes from leaves a flowers. The process releases the dye from the vegetation and fixes it on to the fabric or paper .
In the morning you will learn about the different leaves that give good prints and the different mordents used to create different colours .
In the afternoon you will eco-print some silk fabric and make a narrow scarf to take home.
It is thrilling and accessible.
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and improvers.
The cost of this workshop includes a delicious vegetarian lunch handmade in our cafe.
Jane Hunter lives in mid Wales and is passionate about handmade products and inspired by the skills and creativity of others.
