ADAPTING AND TRANSFORMING
This could refer to nature, the seasons, our situation, how we manipulate materials, and how we change and adapt as we grow, adapting to new locations and situations.
2 November - Elin Crowley - MAKE, PRINT, ADAPT!
In this workshop we will transform and adapt food packaging to create unique prints which can be printed in several ways. Each plate can be manipulated and adapted to create many variations of one image. A change to draw, make printing plates, print and get your hands dirty!
9 November - Liam Rickard - DREAMS OF UTOPIA
How will Newtown look in 5 years, 10 years, 50 years, or 100 years? Through sketching, we'll imagine how we might adapt the buildings and streets of Newtown to respond to man-made climate disruption. How might a sustainable town look? What adaptations can we make now to bring this future about?
16 November - Nicky Arscott - ANIMAL WISDOM
In this workshop we will be exploring different animals and their characteristics using music, drawing and clay. What can we learn about being mighty from the tiniest of creatures? How can dogs teach us to get in touch with our different senses? Come and meet some special guests and get inspired!
23 November - Nicky Arscott - MASK UP!
Inspired by folk art from around the world we will be making colourful and creative masks.
30 November - Elin Crowley - SOMETHING COMES FROM NOTHING
How do we tackle a big empty piece of paper, where do we start? Starting something new can be very scary, but learning to break it down into small steps can help us work towards something bigger. A chance to get messy usings inks, charcoal, paint and whatever you can get your hands on!
