Kind to the Mind supports children in developing mindfulness, confidence and a sense of place in the world through creative play.
This is a great opportunity for children to spend time getting to know each other and working with artists to develop mindfulness through creativity.
Thursday 1st August 11am - 1pm - Liam Rickard, 'Our River: A Zine Workshop'
During this workshop we will be sketching, testing, and discussing the health of our river. We will use different materials to make zines that show what we have found.
Thursday 8th August 11am - 1pm - Beth Clewes, 'River Bank Crowns'
We will construct crowns and explore the river bank for natural treasures with which to adorn them.
Thursday 15th August 11am - 1pm - Nicky Arscott - 'Cardboard Birds'
After doing a survey of the birds that live in and around the river, we will construct 3D cardboard birds inspired by what we have seen.
Thursday 22nd August 11am - 1pm - Beth Clewes, 'River Wildlife'
We will discover more magnificent creatures of the river and bring them to life through the medium of clay.
Thursday 29th August 11am - 1pm - Nicky Arscott - 'River Mural'
We will draw from our knowledge and observations of the river to create an amazing collaborative mural of the River Hafren.
Oriel Davies and arts organisation Ennyn are working together to develop an inclusive creative programme for children encouraging play, exploration and self expression.
Ennyn is an arts organisation based in Mid Wales delivering a bilingual community arts programme.
