Announcing the 4th annual Wales Artists' Book Fair, this year held at its new venue at Oriel Davies Gallery in Newtown. Entry, demonstrations and workshops are free.
The fair runs over the weekend of September 5/6 coinciding with Newtown Food Festival. The well-established Food Festival is free to enter and takes place in the green spaces adjacent to the gallery and on High Street. Visitors can enjoy both events for a unique day out in Mid Wales.
Each year the fair attracts hundreds of visitors – art lovers and those new to the art form, keen to meet artists in an inspiring, creative environment.

This year the Fair will take place at Oriel Davies Gallery where visitors can experience an artisan style market with stalls, demonstrations and workshops, and enjoy the gallery’s exhibitions, café and shop.
What are artists’ books?
Book forms inspired and created by artists – A festival of books that are hand crafted, paper, fabric, sculpture, printed, drawn, stitched, small press, and artist led.
The Artists' Book Fair will be focusing on individual artists, groups and small publishers who create high-quality artists' books using printmaking, textile or paper-based techniques. There will be lots of work on show, as well as work to buy!
