Tai Chi in the park
@ Newtown Outdoor Festival
Two sessions 10.30 – 11.30am and 2 – 3pm. Please arrive 15 minutes before the sessions start and meet outside the Gallery at the Festival Hub. Booking is essential.

Although an art with great depth of knowledge and skill, it can be easy to learn and soon delivers its health benefits. For many, it continues as a lifetime journey.” Dr Paul Lam
With slow & safe movements to improve balance, strength & flexibility, these workshops will teach weight transference enhancing mobility & co-ordination, strengthening the mind and improving calmness & confidence.
Booking is essential as spaces are limited
Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing and firm footwear. Participants can sit if preferred.
Tai chi is practised around the world as an effective exercise for health.
Using the easy to learn Dr Lam ‘tai chi for arthritis’ program, Tony and Jean will lead hour long sessions to give participants an opportunity to start their own tai chi journey.
Jean & Tony believe that when you enjoy the gentle flow and movements of tai chi you can have more control over your own health and wellbeing each day. Every great journey begins with one small step.
