Digital Stories from Newtown

Every town is full of stories. The BBCs digital storytelling team uncovered some of those in Newtown when they ran workshops at Oriel Davies Gallery in the summer. People came together to share their own stories and to learn the skills needed to bring them to life using new media technology. Some use still photographs from their family albums and some have brand new video shot on a mobile phone. Each story is created and crafted by the storyteller and each is unique.

This exhibition shows some of these rich and diverse personal stories, from the tale of an unusual backgarden paradise to a beautiful yet brutal look at the art of metalwork. Each story is created and crafted by the storyteller and each is unique - a rare glimpse into another persons world.
